How does billing work?
Two line items per request: bandwidth ($1 per GB of pre-transformation content) and compute ($0.001 per minute of CPU). Most pages land at a fraction of a cent. Failed requests are billed at $0.
Does my balance expire?
No. There is no subscription. Top up once and use the balance whenever you need it. Nothing resets monthly.
What if I need to top up more?
Top up any amount, any time. Single purchases of $500 or more include an automatic bonus, up to 12% extra at $2K. No negotiations.
How does the Unlimited plan work?
Instead of paying per request, you buy concurrency — one unit is one request in flight. Pick any amount from 2 ($40/mo) up to 1,539 ($20,000/mo) and run unlimited requests through it for a flat monthly rate. Need more than that? Talk to sales and the rate keeps scaling with you.
What happens when all my Unlimited concurrency is busy?
Requests beyond your concurrency limit get an immediate 429 with a Retry-After header — nothing is queued or held server-side, and nothing extra is ever billed. Retry or back off on your side, or add concurrency at any time; any whole number works, not just the listed tiers.
When is Unlimited cheaper than pay as you go?
Do the division on your volume. A basic /scrape request on pay as you go runs about $0.0001, so $350 of credits covers roughly 3.5 million requests. If you consistently run more than that in a month, 25 concurrency on Unlimited costs the same $350 flat with no per-request meter — and the same comparison works at every level. Below that volume, pay as you go stays the cheaper lane.
Does Unlimited include AI endpoints or premium proxies?
No. Unlimited is served through its own dedicated routes — /unlimited/scrape, /unlimited/crawl, and /unlimited/links — on the standard flat-rate network. AI endpoints (/ai/*) are metered and billed separately, and Unlimited requests route through the flat-rate proxy pool.
Are there multipliers for JS rendering or proxies?
No. JS rendering rolls into compute. Standard proxy rotation is included. Residential and ISP pools and AI-powered extraction are priced separately and listed in the pricing details above.
What are the rate limits?
Every account can make up to 10,000 core API requests per minute by default. Contact us if you need higher throughput.
What if I get blocked?
Spider includes an Unblocker with stealth, rotating proxies, and automatic retries. Heavily protected sites route to the Browser Cloud, which runs full browser sessions with anti-detection built in.
Does it respect robots.txt?
Yes. robots.txt compliance is on by default. You can disable it on a per-request basis when needed.
What formats can Spider return?
HTML, raw, plain text, and multiple markdown formats. API responses support JSON, JSONL, CSV, and XML.
